Top 5 Anime OSTs

I'm a huge Anime fan and with every season, I wait in anticipation of the Original Soundtracks (OSTs) from all the new Anime being released.
Every anime has a unique feel when it comes to the OSTs, from the Openings (OPs) to the Endings (EDs) and even the themes from within the Anime itself.
So here I will rank my Top 5 Anime OST's of all the Anime I've seen up to this date, and give a brief description of what I like about it. Here we go!
Number 5:

OST Name: Boku wa, Tori ni Naru (If I Were a Bird)

Anime: Code Geass R2: Lelouch of the Rebellion

A very emotional piece during a time of sadness in one particular episode (which I won't spoil here). The music box used enhances the feeling of this grief with it's lighter sound unlike the sound of, say, a piano.



Number 4:

OST Name: Released Power

Anime: Fairy Tail

A very powerful theme from the Anime Fairy Tail. Doesn't it just make you feel pumped up after listening to it? The combination of all the instruments (guitar, drums, violin) give off a strong vibe that gives you a sense of power.



Number 3:

OST Name: L's Theme

Anime: Death Note

Such a mysterious tone comes from this piece, and so it should! This theme is for one of the characters of Death Note, who goes by the name of "L", and he's a genius detective. It first starts off with a piano, then it's layered with various instruments one after another, which all together sound amazing.


Number 2:

OST Name: Kimi ga Iru

Anime: Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April)

Such a simple sounding piece, but holds so much feel and emotion. This is placed number 2 in my list, not just for the piece, but for all the emotion that it brings with it. It is so much different than the previous 3 OSTs that I've listed, so peaceful and soothing to hear. Yet so complicated in a way that it gives different people different feelings when listening to this piece.



And for Number 1:

OST Name: We Have To Defeat It

Anime: Sword Art Online

This is my number 1 most favourite OST of all time! This is a battle theme if I've ever heard one!
A full orchestra with amazing, powerful vocals, it would make anyone feel invigorated and full of energy.

So as you can see, all of these OSTs do have a unique feel to them and represent the Anime that they're in.
