Playing music makes a person smarter

Does playing music makes a person smarter? That is a controversial topic. Some people don’t believe it and some people believe that playing music really makes a person smarter. However, I disagree. Playing an instrument does make a person smarter.

A research shows that children who plays musical instruments generally has a higher achievement as compared to those who don’t. Also, they have a better understanding, flexibility, memory and are better in analysing information. Besides, they have stronger motor skills, tonal skill, melody, rhythm, vocabulary and auditory. This is why people who plays music usually has a higher academic achievement. In a nut shell, playing music really makes a person smarter and more creative.
