Violin, also called fiddle. It was firstly be invented in
Italy around the 16 Century. Unlike viola or cello, violin is the
smallest member in size in the family of string instruments (so it is easy to
carry around with you, when you need to show off), but it has the
highest-pitch.
Construction of a violin
The timbre that violin has is just like an innate gift. It is
the closest sound to human throat. It allows violinist to playing the violin in
a variety of musical styles such as classical, jazz, pop, folk and even Arabic
music. Because the sounds that violin makes is so broad, it can be highly expressive,
soulful cantilenas or be gentle and lyric.
However, the sounds and voices that the violin makes are highly correlated with the skill of the violinist. Besides the quality of the instrument
itself, the differences in the violin’s sound is dependent on a combination of finger
movements, bowing speed and even a small changes of bow pressure can make a big difference
in voice while playing the violin. Consequently, some people believe violin is one of the
hardest instruments to master.
Personally, I have been learning violin for many
years. Although the violin is hard to play, its celestial sounds are just like
magic that compels me to keep learning, keep playing and keep enjoying!
